雅思口语PART2考试为个人陈述(Individual Long-turn)，持续时间3到四分钟。
在这部分，考官首先会给考生一张TOPIC CARD(话题卡)以及CUE CARD(角色卡)，考生会被要求用一分钟的时间记笔记以用来准备答题的内容。一分钟过后，考官会把TOPIC CARD 和CUE CARD收回，然后学生开始回答问题，一般情况下都是2分钟左右。通常TOPIC CARD是以以下的形式呈现给考生。
Describe a wild animal in your country.
You should say:
What it is?
What it looks like?
Where it usually lives and say whether or not you would like to keep this animal as a pet?

对于雅思口语PART2而言，在1分钟的时间内组织词语去清楚一个问题都不太容易，所以就需要一定的技巧。为了解决这个问题，首先考生要明白在记笔记的时候一定要简单而又有效，考生只需记下对回答问题有关键的提示作用的词汇即可。首先要熟悉这样几个概念：

Q(QUESTION)问题:

T：wild anima

根据上面的笔记，这道题应该以如下方式回答：
(Q1)Well, the wild animal I’d like to talk today in my country is the peacock, which is especially known for its beauty and grace.

(Q2)As far as I’m concerned, this kind animal usually looks like phoenix, a legendary bird from myth. Besides, peacocks are really very beautiful and graceful. Their beautiful glamorous plumage makes them look magnificent, their movement can undoubtedly make people think they are the creatures born to be graceful. Apart from that, whenever peacocks spread their tails, they will draw the attention of people around them, and surely people will applause for viewing such a wonderful moment.
(Q3)As for the place where peacocks live in my country, I think generally they inhabit in sub-tropical rainforests, particularly in Yunnan province which is situated at the southwest part of China, because the weather and the geological features there are the most suitable for them to dwell and raise their descendants. And I’m sure that I won’t keep them as my pet, because considering the huge amount of money that is going to be spent on maintaining their health and appearance, I can’t afford such a big expenditure. In addition, I also don’t have enough space for keeping them. As you know, the size of their bodies really require a spacious place to let them live in.

雅思口语考试中的词汇和短语可以通过不同的方式来收集，主要方式有三种：

这种方法比较直接，但缺点为由于资源自身的枯竭和局限性，所以非常不利于词汇和短语的丰富和灵活使用能力的培养。

这种方法的优点在于涉猎面广，可以丰富知识。但是容易造成针对性较差的情况。
